Medic!

I have a few adjustments to make to a couple of the models in my latest Tanith commission, so it'll be next week before you guys get a chance to see them all.

In the meantime I thought you might like to see my verso of Surgeon Ana Curth. Formerly an up-hive surgeon on Verghast, she shipped out with the Tanith following the destruction of Vervunhive in the novel Necropolis. She became an invaluable member of the Tanith medical team.

This model is actually the first of the Victoria Miniatures Arcadian female troopers I've had the pleasure to assemble and paint up. Once again, Vic has knocked them out of the park : )

Here's a look at her before paint.

More from this platoon over the coming week.

Cheers
Dave

  1. Looks great! Seeing this model makes me hope Victoria Miniatures expands their line of models with counts-as Catachan, Steel Legion or Valhallans.

  2. Looking great. A character that often gets forgotten about in tanith armies. The red vergast apron really sets her apart.

  3. Fantastic work on a great model. I like the pose of the medic, he looks as though he's telling someone to stay still while he gets his kit together.

    1. *cough* she *cough*

Victoria has chosen to go for realistic proportions and clothing rather than the overly-buxom, naked ladies of other manufacturers ; )

  4. Nice! I still miss Doc Dorden though. 40,000 years in the future and we still haven't beaten cancer :'(

  5. Finally new models for this wonderful Tanith army. I really was looking forward to this moment. Hope to see the platoon ASAP.
Because of this Tanith I started a Tanith army myself.

  6. Dave, she looks really perfect. I love the addition of the surgeon's apron and pack. Ana Curth is one of my favourites of the Ghosts and you've caught her well.

    1. Hmmm, I'm not sure how I feel about being owned, but you can certainly buy my time ; )

  9. I really like her, Dave. Only thing I can think of that would improve it would be to use less harsh transitions on the face to make her look more feminine?
