Admekrepairrume

Despite having built my Admekrepairrume almost 18 months ago, I didn't really get started on painting it until the beginning of this month. This meant that a model that should of had countless hours lavished on it received only enough work to get it done to a respectable level. I hope to get back to it one day and take a better look at the color choices, highlights, and shading (particularly on the brassy bits).

But it is done, and shall act as my Archmagos Prime for my Mechanicum list at the Old Line Massacre that starts tomorrow.

Wish me luck ; )

The cables that extend from many points on this model are from a variety of sources, and I describe those sources in this post HERE.

The base is a mix of GW terrain parts, plastic tubing, and some cool little vents and so on from Dragon Forge Design. The rusty weathering powder is from Secret Weapon Miniatures.

Cheers
Dave

  1. Looking at this, and then pondering my Magos Dominus and his abeyant and um...yeah, makes me want to cry.

    1. I doubt that. All Magos on abeyants are beautiful to behold : )

  3. I can't wait to see it in person. Are you loyalist or traitor forces? Since it is I5 and not I3, my loyalist sons will likely be deployed as traitors.

    1. I'm hoping for Loyalists, as it's where my heart lies, but obviously as the Mechanicum were the most fickle with their loyalties, I might end up on the Dark Side., see you tomorrow : )

  7. Really happy to see this thing with some paint on it. Rushed as the paint job might have been, it still looks great. Did you have a 40k cross over list for your army? Really wish using 30k ad mech was more "official" in 40k.
Anyways keep up the great work

    1. Hi Matt, thanks. Although I never really took to the field much with my old AdMech, I think the Chaos Marine list is a good one to start with for 40K. Of course now, you can pick and choose from all lists ; )
