WARLORD - And now the Decals!

My apologies for the delay on this one. Food poisoning sidelined me for most of Friday and Saturday. A total bummer. So, once I could move further than ten feet from the bathroom, I set to applying the decals to the Warlord and added some extra chipping and weathering around the armor panels. I'm pretty happy with how everything has turned out. I hope you like it too : )

The next video will appear on Friday morning. A spin-around of Domitor Fortis , as well as a spin-around of my Reaver, Primaris Secutar, after the big reveal at AdeptiCon on Thursday : )

Cheers

WARLORD - Stencils and airbrushing can really give you a better result!

The videos are coming thick and fast now as I'm feeling the pressure to have it all done in advance of AdeptiCon. Stencils and decals arrived on Monday night from Fallout Hobbies, so yesterday I took a bit of time to get stuck in and finish off the armor plates : )

Not long now!

WARLORD - Detailing the base!

Here we are again. Another quick video showing my latest progress. This time it's the base.

I've added some extra detail in the form of a traitor militiaman and loads of abandoned equipment, and finished off the detailed painting and so on. I think I might have to add a few more traitor bodies to really drive it home.

I hope you like it : )

BLOOD RAGE - The Gods and Monsters!

As promised, here are the rest of the Blood Rage pieces from my recent commission. Above are the Gods of Asgard. From left to right: Odin, Heimdall, Frigga, Thor, Loki, and Tyr. All are very cool sculpts with great character.

The smaller 'monsters'; zombies, dwarves, valkyrie, and dark elves.

The Trolls!

The Wolfman and Fenrir.

The Mountain Giant and Ice Giant.

And finally, I'm not at all sure what the crazy creature is on the left (with a very gorilla-like body), but it is definitely a wonderful sculpt! And, of course, the Sea Monster on the right is very cool.

Update: It is indeed Surtr on the left, with his flaming sword who will fight the gods and engulf the world in flames during Ragnarok. On the right is Jormungand, the Midgard Serpent, who is so large he encircles Midgard. He has a particular emnity with Thor that will eventually result in their mutual demise.

BLOOD RAGE! - The Vikings

It hasn't been all "massive Warlord Titans" around here. I recently finished off a commission that saw me painting the entire Blood Rage set (all the add-ons and freebies etc). I painted in batches during February and early March in order to keep things chugging along and to keep each clan looking fairly cohesive.

First up is the Wildboar clan (above).

The Ram clan.

The Wolf clan.

The Bear clan.

The Raven clan.

And the Serpent clan.

Next up I'll finish off with the Gods and Monsters : )

WARLORD - Part 18 - Starting to paint the base!

Some more painting on the Warlord. Despite my cold/cough, I forged ahead and laid down some paint on the base and did some more detail work on the torso, including painting the rear and adding some plates.

Very exciting stuff!

WARLORD - Part 17, More Painterly!

Another week, another update (although I expect there'll be two next week).

This time I've painted about 70% of the torso, and it is really starting to come together : )

I hope you enjoy.

KICKSTARTER - Awaken Realms resin terrain

Yesterday a package arrived from Awaken Realms, a painting studio out of Eastern Europe that is now expanding into resin terrain. They are currently running a Kickstarter for their new range of objectives, totems, portals, and barricades. You can check it out HERE!

It all looks very cool. The resin is light and sturdy, with crisp details and not a lot of flash.

WARLORD - Part 16 - The legs are almost finished!

Hi everyone!

Apologies for the delay in this video, I recently spent a week in Northern Ireland with the Beasts of War crew, filming loads of videos for Coll Mini or Not's game Dark Age (but more on that in a future post).

Anyway, progress has been made and once I have the torso painted (next week), I'll be in a really good spot (I hope). I should have those Fallout Hobbies stencils soon and then I can really get into the nitty gritty of the painting : )

It has been a while since he Titan has claimed any of my blood, but I figured I should show you these scratches, acquired while I was painting the legs. It turns out that the resin sandbags on the base have some sharp corners to them. Of course, two scratches means I wasn't too careful after the first time : )

Have a great weekend!

Cheers
