Sorry I haven't posted up the lastfew models from my Death Guard project, but I was busy working on this guy over the weekend. He's a new commission build - Horus Lupercal - based on the great artwork originally from the Horus Heresy card game.
Anyway, I hope you like this guy.
Cheers
Dave
Thank you for waiting, this way to your table...
ReplyDeleteWonderful!
ReplyDeleteLooks good, my only complaint is his left arm looks uncomfortably straight.
ReplyDeleteIt's a little straighter than I'd like, but I'm not sure it's uncomfortably so ; )
Deleteso good!
ReplyDeleteLooks like he's waving at me. "hey buddy, could you help me with this?"
ReplyDeleteSorry, couldn't help myself.
"I've got this little heresy thing going on. Could you help me with the heavy lifting?"
Delete"High five Fulgrim!"
DeleteCaptures the pose from the art very well, but I'm not sure it has the same effect out of context. I'd suggest you continue on and do the whole scene ;)
ReplyDeleteI'll never build the Emperor. : )
DeleteYou have already built the True Emperor of Mankind. Luprical!!Luprical!!Luprical!!
DeleteLooks great Dave, can't wait to see him painted.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work, man - I wish I has a tenth of your sculpting talent! Really looking forward to seeing it painted up!
ReplyDeleteI'm only a novice sculptor. You are closer than you think.
DeleteIt needs a little marine slapping him a high five! Looks great, Dave!
ReplyDeleteLovely job translating the artwork in to 3D; however, Horus always looks like a Punch & Judy Man to me.
ReplyDeleteWowsers!
ReplyDeleteHe looks awesome! I've been tempted a thousand times over to sculpt my own, but I know the FW one in the works will be better than what I could do. So i'll just wait :P
ReplyDeleteBut you's is awesome, I always loved your Abbaddon conversion too!
After hearing about FW doing him after Lorgar, I offered the client a chance out of the commission. He quickly declined that offer and said full speed ahead. I'm no Simon Egan, and his will kick mine's ass, but it was nice to get to do him (again) before FW releases theirs.
DeleteSick work Dave, love it!
ReplyDeleteglad we can't see the tube up his nose that every other bit of artwork seems to have on him
ReplyDeleteLooking good. Forge world version coming or not this is a credible job and a nice looking mini. I'm sure your client will be happy.
ReplyDeleteWow, what an incredible piece of art! The level of detail and craftsmanship is truly impressive. The colors are vibrant, the pose is dynamic, and the overall design is inspired. social media promotion agency gwalior
