Just a quick post to show you all there has been progress on the display (and other elements). I'm now packing to head out to WarGamesCon in Austin, Texas, where I'll be covering the 2012 Flames of War Early War Nationals on Friday and Saturday. I get home on Sunday. I'm sure I'll be exhausted after a lot of hard work and hard play, but it'll be less than a week to work on getting it all sorted, before the big in-store Armies On Parade day (June 30 here in the US).
Wish me luck!
Cheers
Dave
Looks great, good luck, Dave!
ReplyDeleteThat looks fantastic, I can't imagine that there will be anything to compete with it. Good luck for the comp though.
ReplyDeleteIt looks AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck Dave.
Looking great Dave! Good luck getting everything done.

Wow! You really pulled that together quickly, looks amazing. Good luck (I don't think you're going to need it though). Look forward to seeing it finished.
ReplyDeleteThis is really starting to come together, keep it up!
ReplyDeleteGood luck Dave!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing of course and I know they are into death and all... but the Board to me feels like it needs a bit more colour?
Some bronze/brass on the roofs and creepers on the walls maybe?
If you have time of course!
It does need some more color, hopefully on Monday I can get the Skullvane manse finished and start to make a few things pop.

Awesome. Looking forward to seeing the results :)
DeleteI hope that the finished results are an improvement. I'm pretty happy with the depth of tone, considering the particularly dark palette.
DeleteWhat tremendous progress; it is one of those pieces that you just want to pour over for hours on end.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, have a safe trip!
ReplyDeleteThe board is coming along great! Glad you're making it out to WGC again. I'm sure I'll see you at some point.
ReplyDeleteGreat board, and great progress as stated.. looking forward to seeing the final product, and also then hearing how you take home best in show ;)
ReplyDeleteThat is a very, very impressive display board for a very, very impressive Army.
ReplyDeleteGot the new White Dwarf today, which had your Artillery Train in there. This looks set to be even more interesting and intricate!
ReplyDeleteHave fun, Dave, and good luck!
ReplyDeleteIt appears your beautiful models have made their way into a pretty landmark edition of the US White Dwarf (not got the UK one yet) - so hearty congrats for that!
