What a busy week!
Well, it has been a very busy week indeed. I had intended to post this pic up earlier, but things like a new daycare location for my girls, a new cold/flu from my girls, and the arrival of the cast heads for my spearmen have all taken up far too much time.
Anyway, here they are in all their almost-finished glory. I say almost because I still need to finish off the flames on two burning-brazier heads and about eight torches. Shouldn't be too tough to slip in somewhere. This weekend I'll be racing to finish painting the first five Knights of Morr, so that the following week I can get cracking on building thirty or so spearmen - with heads, arms, shields, and weapons all sculpted by me - and cast by a couple of friends!
Should be fun, but not much time to go, only six weeks from this Saturday until the in-store Armies On Parade "judgement day".
Cheers
Dave

Insane! And the paint job is nuts, too!
ReplyDeleteI just picked up a whole bunch of those Dragon Forge bases for my own Nuln army (they look so damned good on yours).
What colours did you use for the bases, if you don't mind me asking? I quite like the lightness of them for the contrast.
Cheers
T
Hi Tim
DeleteThe colors for the bases are:
Basecoat in GW Khemri Brown (or try GW Steel Legion Drab now)
Paint tops of stones with 50/50 mix of basecolor and Vallejo Dark Sand
Highlight stones with Dark Sand
Drybrush stones with Vallejo Pale Sand
Thin wash of GW Seraphim Sepia
Thin patchy washes of Secret Weapon Amethyst.
I hope that helps and best of luck with you Nuln army.
Cheers
Dave
You meant to say "The MORR the merrier"...
ReplyDeleteLooking great all set up in their unit. Really like that purple you used for the banner.
ReplyDeleteI think this is the first time I've ever sen flagellants used as flagellants. They look great, too.
