WARLORD - Finally, the Warlord Titan Build is complete!

Ok, so after six long and occasionally grueling months the Warlord Titan (Domitor Fortis of the Legio Crucius) is now ready to walk!

Last night at AdeptiCon, I was able to reveal the Warlord to my assembled Liber Titanitcus class. There was a lot of chat about how I built the beast, anecdotes about the trials and tribulations, and quite a few very good questions along the way.

I'm very happy with the result, and at the same time I know there are a few things I can do to improve  it. These stages will be applied at a later date (and I'll put together a video once they're done).

Domitor Fortis stands ready, alongside Primaris Secutar.

The Titan Transport.

The Titans, and many other items, all packed for the show.

My thanks to Mel Bose and Ash Barker for their advice and support along the way in this YouTube build endeavor.

My thanks to my patrons on Patreon for their belief in the value of hobby content.

My thanks to everyone who has followed along and offered their support and comments along the way.

My thanks to Duane, Jake, and Murph for schlepping that enormous crate from Baltimore to Chicago : )

Cheers
Dave

  1. Well done Dave on getting the beast finished. You blood (literally), sweat and tears went into this.

It looks amazing in the stills. I look forward to watching the video when I get home. Will post my thoughts later.

  4. Amazing job, only thing that rivals the paint job is the fact you have been able to keep focus for such a huge project. Well done

    1. It's certainly a big task, but I think giving myself six months helped me not feel I was under a massive time crunch. If I wasn't filming and could work on one five days a week, I think it'd be around 5-6 weeks to get it all done.

  5. Dave, it was an honor to get to see the Warlord up close and personal during the Liber Titanitcus class at Adepticon. It is truly magnificent and impressive.
I still can't believe you let us pass around the torso during class. It was like holding a newborn baby.

    1. I'm glad you enjoyed the discussion/anecdotes, Troy. As for it being like holding a newborn, I'm pretty sure I handed both my girls off to complete strangers too when they were young ; )

This is a video because I messed up on my camera setting, so it snapped a video 3 seconds before each photo...so provides a nice little timelapse almost of the game going on...and how crazy greg is when taking photos :)

  7. Any temptation to model a box like a Titan carrier? Those boxes look the prow of a 40k style ship. Of course, it'd be an even more enormous project, but it would make a striking display piece.
