Rob, over at Warhammer 39,999, posted a few thoughts about the tragedy of blog posts that fall into the abyss after being checked out by faithful blog readers, posts that are still worthy, but will probably never again see the light of day. You can read more about Rob's thoughts here.
I think it's a pretty cool idea, so I thought I'd dredge up some of my favorite posts chosen from the largest of the tags in my cloud.
Blood Pact:
Charity:
Napoleonics:
Pre-Heresy:
I hope you enjoy a stroll back through some of my favorite posts, and it inspires you to take a look at some of the older posts on other bogs you may have just stumbled across.
Enjoy "Old Stuff Day" to the full!
Cheers
Dave
Great choices. The star tutorial and the Storm Wardens are good to recall, but my personal favorite is the Stalk Tank. Not sure how I missed that the first time...
ReplyDeleteHappy Old Stuff Day!
Dave, another way to bring old posts back is 'linkwithin' - you can add this bit of code to your blog and when you add a new post, it searches your site to add links to older posts under the lable 'You might also like'...

Seems a bit hit or miss as to the relevancy sometimes, but it does bring old posts back to life (which are in turn seeded with more links, etc)...
Good old bloodpact.
ReplyDeleteWas reading those posts that got me into wanting to blog about my Bloodpact and other armies on the go.
I frequently go back and look at your Napoleonics post, since that is my newest fascination.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see a tutorial on how to paint up Napoleonics quickly -- esp. French.
