INQUISITOR - Barbaretta

Here's the second completed model from the Inquisitor commission - Barbaretta and her faithful/programmed hound. I like working with metals so the hound was pretty straightforward. Barbaretta's black jumpsuit was the fun task on this one. To add a little extra something, I mixed P3 Coal Black into the highlight mix I used. I think it gives it a nice depth, and the greenish tinge works well with the red stripes.

I think I might try Tyrus next.

Cheers
Dave

  1. Fantastic work. I've always been interested by Inquisitor, but never really given it a proper look. I may finally be inspired to do so!!

    1. Thanks, GG. After the Warlord you'll be set for "big" miniatures like this : )

  2. Absolutely flippin' gorgeous! Cannot wait to see your take on Tyrus - that's one of my favorite models of the line. Are you going to get the chance to do the Kal Jerico model as well? Seem to remember that one was hard to get a hold of back in the day.

    Keep up the great work!

    1. Thanks, mate! I don't have a Kal in the box, so if you know if someone who does...

  3. Really great to see Inquisitor models getting some love. It's a game and range of models that captured my interest the moment things were released all that time ago. I am especially looking forward to what you do with Eisenhorn - my favourite of the original range.

    1. Eisenhorn is definitely my favorite model from the range (with Covenant a close second). I'm basically using the studio scheme as a base, but deviating where it feels right. Not sure what will happen when I get to old Gregor ; )

  4. Thanks! Yeah, it's been nearly 13 years since I've done any real work on Inquisitor models. If you can track down those articles, let me know the issue numbers : )

  5. Thanks for that, now I just need to track them down in my collection (the WD issues, that is. The minis were in the case lost at Sydney's Central Station).

And one day, when I'm incredibly wealthy, I might need to hire you as my personal archivist ; )

  6. Back in the days of GW US' Bitz Service, I picked up Barbaretta's Shield and Maul with the intention of making an Ogryn Arbiter for Necromunda. Wonder if I still have those pieces lying around - might need to warm up the old conversion skills, too.

  8. you use them much of the time to hold espresso and tea. To dispose of the stain, fill ice with ice, cut portion of the lemon juice, add 2 teaspoons of salt and mix, and the stains will bit by bit vanish. Japanese used car
