And back to the Knights of Morr (plus post 300!)
Well I was able to finish up the Knights late last week, ahead of a crazy weekend filled with parties, BBQs, pools, deck-staining, and the slightest bit of sleeping. Above (and below) you can see the Knights with their shields in place. I'm very happy with how they look.
And the winner is... Thanks to Bucky for his comment on a previous post regarding a possible phrase to go on the banner for my Knights of Morr. The phrase chosen was "Deficit Omne Quod Nasciture" - Everything that is born passes away. Although I now realize I spelled deficit incorrectly. I'll fix that up this week.
Next up on the cavalry front? This guy : )
Cheers
Dave
PS. This is apparently my 300th post, woohoo!
Great work Dave, very impressive indeed!
ReplyDeleteThe all series of posts is fantastic. Your army is impressive and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAre they called the Knights of Morr because everyone wants to see MORR!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on them. The purples came out great, and the lettering is great! Will be quite the force once finished!
Amazing knights!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colour scheme and paintjob.
Beautiful figures. Very nice (and unusual) colour combination.
ReplyDeleteRegards,
Matt
Drool, drool and drool! Absolutely fabulous work!
ReplyDeleteLovely, and congrats on 300 posts
ReplyDeleteThanks for the enthusiastic comments guys. With a lot of the grunt work still to go, I need all the encouragement I can get!
ReplyDeleteCheers
Dave
Wow these are superb Dave!
ReplyDeleteDoing Morr knights on my own using Chaos Horses, have just completed three of them so far though. But these Knights really wants me to get up in the saddle again and finish them, crazy nice looking unit. Really like the how you have painted them as well with the black and purple, great stuff!
ReplyDeleteGreat models. They have a very unique and distinctive look while at the same time being recognisably 'Empire'. Initially I thought they might end up looking too much like Chaos knights but now I see the finished product I realise that such fears were unfounded.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing how this army progresses.

Great looking models! By the way, did you know that defecit, as you have mispelled in the banner, means "failed" in Latin;)
ReplyDeleteNow that's just funny. I'll get it fixed ASAP.
DeleteCheers
Dave
But it could also be a slightly corrupted subjunctive of defecare - which would make it very true as well. Although a bit too nurgly perhaps ... ;)
DeleteAmesome painting btw!
Wow these models are super, super cool. The banners are wicked!!! Love the color scheme you chose too.
ReplyDeleteI need to go back to the original posts and see what these models are. . .
Excellent paintjob and splendid banners! I especially like the paintjob on the horses.
ReplyDeleteBest regards
Fantastic as always...but how on earth did I miss your Third Century!
