SAGA - A 6pt Saracens Warband
And finally, this Saracen warband. After the limited palette of the Crusaders, it was nice to be able to break out a wide variety of colors for these models. As with earlier warbands, the shield decals were from Little Big Men Studios.
I hope you've enjoyed this big batch of SAGA stuff : )

SAGA - A 6pt Crusader Warband
And here are the Crusaders, second to last SAGA warband for this hefty commission. My client wanted to go with a Hospitalier look, and for a minute I thought I'd be painting lots of white! A quick Google search and I discovered I was looking at lots of black : )
Final war band will be on the blog tomorrow!

SAGA - A 6pt Skraelings Warband
Warband number two for my big SAGA commission are these Skraelings. Lovely sculpts from Footsore miniatures, a fairly straightforward color scheme, and hordes of spear-wielding braves created quite a nice looking warband on the tabletop.
Yep, that's 12 archers and 40 spearmen!
Next up, Crusaders : )

SAGA - A 6pt Princes of Rus Warband
Well, aren't summers just the busiest time of the year? I can't believe that I've neglected this blog as much as I have. I feel pretty bad about it, but a little worse about neglecting all the wonderful blogs on my blog roll. Over the comings weeks and months I promise to check you all out more often, and start commenting again.
Ok, now that my apology is out of the way, here's one of the commissions I've been working on over the last few months. This is the first of four SAGA Warbands I painted for a client - The Princes of Rus. I hope you like them. The models are from Gripping Beast and the shield decals are from Little Big Men Studios.

CROWDFUNDING - Hobby Transporter!
So, an old buddy from Australia is currently working on getting his dream of a super cool Hobby Transporter funded. Michael Cruise (of Laser Shark Designs) has spent quite a bit of time testing out different designs, trying to get just the right mix of storage, transport, and display capacity going.
If you've ever had to travel to conventions (especially via plane) you know how tough it can be. I really like the look of this solution, and if you do too, I suggest you head on over to the Kickstarter HERE, and pledge your dollars!
Nice work, Michael!
Cheers
Dave

CROWDFUNDING - A couple of quick plugs!
It has been a little while since I plugged a Kickstarter or Indiegogo campaign on the blog here, and currently there are two being run by two friends. I thought this little lull right before Gencon might be a good place to slip this in. ; )
First up we have Tablescapes Dungeons: Mines from Secret Weapon Miniatures, Reaper, and Dark Art Miniatures. This is a set of totally modular pieces that enable you to build your own dungeons for roleplaying and skirmish adventuring. The look quite cool, and will be produced in durable PVC. The campaign is going quite well, and stretch goals are being unlocked on a fairly regular basis.
If you are into roleplaying or dungeon-crawling, this will be right up your alley!
The second crowdfunder is an Indiegogo campaign, by my mate Rhys Knight, called Brassed Off. Rhys has dabbled with some wargaming/modeling accessory crowdfunding before, and is now gathering funds to start producing some very cool sheets of brass-etched detailing for wargaming minis. Rhys has just started his campaign and has a very modest target and some great reward levels for those looking to increase their inventory of brass detail sheets.
Check his campaign out. I think the sheets of Cogs, and the Metal Plates (shown above) are the two most germane to my interests : )
